Frequently asked questions

In which period is the campsite open?

Our campsite is open from March 28 to October 6.

Do I need to make a reservation?

It depends on whether you plan to come in the early or late season or during the summer holidays. In good weather, we are usually fully booked from mid-July to the end of August. It is advisable to book in advance. For rental accommodations, it’s a good idea to book earlier than for camping pitches. Our rental accommodations are guaranteed to be fully booked during Easter, Ascension, Pentecost, the summer holidays, and the autumn holidays. However, if you’re looking for a camping pitch, you might get lucky with last-minute availability.

Are preference costs charged if we want a specific pitch?

Yes, if you want to reserve a specific spot on the campsite, you can do so by contacting us by phone or email. The cost for a preferred spot is €16.50 per pitch.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

For campers, check-in is from 12:00 PM, and check-out is before 11:00 AM. For rental accommodations, check-in is from 3:00 PM, and check-out is before 10:00 AM.

What happens if I arrive after the reception closes?

The reception is open daily from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. During the high season, we have extended hours from 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM, and on the Wednesday before Ascension weekend and the Friday before Pentecost weekend, we’re open from 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM. If you arrive outside these hours, you can use the intercom next to the reception, and we will assist you.

Why are €2 'Card Deposit' fees charged for my reservation?

Each guest receives a Noorder Sandt card upon arrival, which is activated to access the swimming pool. Optionally, the card can also be used in our laundry to wash or dry clothes. To use the washing machines and dryers, you must first top up your balance at reception. Upon departure, you will receive the €2 deposit back in cash when you return the card.

Can we park a car at the pitch or accommodation?

Per reservation, one car is allowed at the pitch. To load and unload (sleeping) luggage, we will open the barrier. A second car, if any, can be parked in the parking lot at the entrance.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, pets are warmly welcome! However, pets must be registered when booking and cost €6.50 per night.

Do we have to pay a deposit for our accommodation?

Yes, for our beach houses and wood lodges, you will pay a deposit of €100, which will be refunded to your account within 14 days after your stay and a campsite inspection.

Is bed linen and towels provided in the rental accommodations?

The beds are made upon arrival. Extra bed linen can be obtained at the reception (€9 per set of sheets). Towels can be reserved when booking or picked up at the reception. The cost is €6.50 per set (1 bath towel, 1 hand towel).

Can I reserve a beach ride?
