Frequently asked questions

When should I make a reservation?
That depends on whether you want to come in the pre- or post-season, or in the middle of the summer holidays. If the weather is nice, we are usually full from mid-July to the end of August. It is best to book in advance. It is also advisable to make reservations at rental accommodations rather than at the camping pitches. Our rental accommodations are guaranteed to be full at Easter, Ascension, Pentecost, in the summer holidays and autumn holidays. But if you are looking for a camping pitch, you will also be lucky last-minute.

Are there any preferential costs when we want a specific place?

Yes, if you want to reserve a specific place at the campsite, you can contact us by phone or e-mail. The costs for a preferred place are € 16,50 per place.

What are the arrival and departure times?
For campers, the arrival time is from 12:00 and the departure time is before 11:00.
For the rental accommodations, the arrival time is from 15:00 and the departure time is before 10:00.

For what is € 2,- 'deposit pass' charged with my reservation?

Upon arrival, everyone receives a Noorder Sandt pass that is activated to be able to use the dishwasher once a day and possibly wash or dry it in our laundry. To use the washing machines and dryers you must first go to the reception to increase your balance. Upon departure you will receive the € 2,- deposit, after handing in the card, cash back from us.

What if I arrive later than reception opening hours?

The reception is open every day from 09:00 to 17:00. During the high season we have adjusted opening hours from 9:00 – 20:00 and on some holidays or for the Ascension weekend from 9:00 – 23:00. If you arrive outside the opening hours, you can use the intercom next to the reception, we will help you further.

Is the pool publicly accessible?

The swimming pool on the campsite is only accessible to our guests. Due to strict regulations, we cannot allow guests from outside in the swimming pool.

When is the animation team present?

Entertainment is provided daily (except Sunday) during the Easter weekend, the May holidays, Ascension, Pentecost, in the regular holiday weeks of July and August and of course during the autumn holidays.

Can I book a beach ride with a horse?

No, lessons and beach rides can only be booked at Arianne's Sandthapper stable. This cannot be booked in advance.

Stal de Sandthapper is only for guests of our campsite. We cannot accept guests from outside due to crowds.

When you bring your own horse, it is useful to reserve a box. Please send us an e-mail to noordersandt@ardoer.com

Is there wifi available?

Yes, there is free wifi available. For each reservation you will receive a code from us to use with the whole family.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, pets are very welcome with us! Pets must be registered at the time of booking and cost € 6,- per night,-.

Can an additional tent be added?

Yes, this is only allowed on the base and comfort pitches, not on the camper pitches. The side tent must remain within its own place. At the rental accommodations it is only possible to place an additional tent in consultation.

Can I build a marquee in my place?

No, marquees are not allowed.

Can a car be placed at the camping pitch or accommodation?

Per reservation, 1 car is allowed at the place. For loading and unloading (sleeping) items, we open the barrier. You can park a possible second car in the parking lot at the entrance.

Do I need to make a reservation?

It is useful to book in advance to be guaranteed a spot, but it is always possible to get on the receipt.

Can I stay with a group?

Strandpark 't Noorder Sandt is a family campsite that is known for its child-friendliness and quiet appearance. Our beach park often accommodates families with young children or elderly people who come for peace and quiet. Our experience has shown that groups often drown out our other guests. We cannot always meet the request of groups.

Is it possible for unaccompanied young people to stay?

It is not allowed for unaccompanied young people up to the age of 21 to stay with us.

Is the campsite also accessible by public transport?

The campsite is accessible by public transport. You can take the train to Den Helder (Central or South) and then take a bus to Julianadorp, from the bus stop it is a 10-minute walk.

From the train you could also come by taxi, this costs about € 20,-.

Is it possible to charge my electric car?

Yes, we have room to charge 4 electric cars at the same time.

Do we have to pay a deposit for our rental accommodation?

Yes, for our Beach Houses and Woodlodges you pay € 100,- deposit, this will be refunded to your account within 14 days after your stay and a check of the campsite. Do you want to use our children's sanitary or disabled? Then we ask € 10,- deposit for the key. You will receive this back when you return the key.

Is there bed linen and are towels provided in the rental accommodation?

Beds are made upon arrival. Extra bed linen can be found at the reception (€9,- for a set of sheets). Towels can be reserved when booking or picked up at the reception, the costs for this are € 6.50 per set (1 bath towel, 1 towel).

Do you separate waste?

Yes, we have one place with containers for glass, paper and residual waste. Small chemical waste such as batteries can be dropped off at the reception. The press container for residual waste is only suitable for household waste, preferably packed in garbage bags. We also have a green container, which is exclusively intended for unpackaged pruning waste and grass. So please do not throw (plastic) bags in this container.

How does the barrier work?

Upon arrival you will be asked for your license plate number, which will be entered into our system. By means of license plate you can then drive in and out. Make sure that you are actually in front of the barrier with the car, the camera can then read the license plate number. To ensure the nightly rest, the barrier only works between 07:00 and 23:00.

I get visitors, where can they park?

In the parking lot that you see before you enter the campsite. For unloading and loading any (sleeping) items, your visit may continue by car. At the reception they can open the barrier for you.

I want to leave before 08.00, is that possible?

Yes, from 07:00h, but make sure you check out at the reception the day before. You will then receive your deposit for the facilities card back.

Do you need shower tokens?

No, we do not work with shower coins. You can press the button that is under the temperature controller and then get hot water from the shower head for 7 minutes.

Is there a supermarket on site?

No, we do not have a supermarket on the campsite. In Julianadorp, about 1.5 km from our campsite, there are supermarkets. There is an Albert Heijn, Vomar and a Lidl.

I have run out of power; now what?

Let us know at the reception and an employee will come by as soon as .m to turn the power back on. If the power goes out outside the opening hours, you can report this to the catering industry or via the intercom. If it is after 23:00, wait until the next day. At 23:00 we have a night's sleep and we no longer come for the power.

Can I receive visitors and how much does it cost?

Of course. Day visit is free of charge, but we would like you to come and tell us that your visit is there so that we know who is present at the campsite. Also for any calamities it is nice to know how many people we have on our campsite. Visitors who stay overnight pay € 5.50 per person per night (excluding € 2.00 tourist tax and including use of our facilities, including the swimming pool).

Can I have cooling elements frozen or borrowed?

Yes, you can exchange your cooling elements in the freezer in our outdoor kitchen (own risk).

Is it allowed to barbecue?

Yes, this is possible, provided you observe the safety requirements.

Is a marquee allowed in my place?

No party tents are not allowed on the campsite.
